IFNC16 is coming to Dublin, Ireland
The 16th International Family Nursing Conference (IFNC16) will be taking place in Dublin, Ireland from Tuesday 20th June until Friday 23rd June 2023. The theme of IFNC16 is ‘Global Innovations in Family Nursing: Advancing Family Health’. Pre-conference workshops will take place on Tuesday 20th June 2023 with the conference scheduled for Wednesday 21st June until Friday 23rd June 2023. The conference and pre-conference workshops will be held on the Glasnevin Campus at Dublin City University.
Late-breaking abstracts
We are pleased to announce a late-breaking call for abstracts for the 16th International Family Nursing Conference. Please submit your late-breaking abstracts by Monday 6th February 2023. This is for new submissions only; prior submissions should not be edited and will not be reviewed.
We welcome abstracts addressing family-related research, education, and evidence-based practice projects or papers that address the intersection of family health and policy. Submitters are expected to provide information, strategies, and/or tools relevant to family researchers, educators, clinicians, and/or policy makers to advance their work.
Please read the instructions for submitting an abstract. Sample abstracts are included within the instructions.
Abstracts for podium/oral presentation will only be accepted for in-person presentation in Ireland. Abstracts submitted for poster presentation can be considered/accepted for either in-person or virtual presentation.
After your abstract is received, you will receive an email notification of receipt via the Oxford Abstract System. Further notification of the decision to accept or decline your abstract will be sent to you no later than Friday 3rd March 2023.

Registration is now open
Registration for the 16th International Family Nursing Conference is now open! For 2023, your registration fee also includes participation in the pre-conference workshops on Tuesday 20th June 2023. Don’t forget to make use of the early bird registration rate, up until Sunday 30th April 2023.
Registration fees (in US Dollars) are as follows (with required 23% Value Added Tax (VAT) in Ireland):
- IFNA Member (Early Rate): $550.00 / $677.00 including VAT
- Non-Member (Early Rate): $680.00 / $837.00 including VAT
- Student: $350.00 / $431.00 including VAT
- IFNA Member (after Monday 1st May 2023): $675.00 / $831.00 including VAT
- Non-Member (after Monday 1st May 2023): $760.00 / $935.00 including VAT

IFNC16 Student Scholarship
The International Family Nursing Association recognises that students from around the world are the future leaders in the field of family nursing. The IFN Foundation is pleased to announce the call for applications for the Student Scholarship Programme, which is dedicated to enhancing the career potential of exceptional students by providing conference registration to IFNC16.
The IFN Foundation is able to support conference attendance for up to 10 qualified students to attend IFNC16, which will be held in Dublin, Ireland from Tuesday 20th June 20 until Friday 23rd June 2023. Through generous contributions to the IFN Foundation via Giving Tuesday and the Honour Families and Family Nurse Programme, scholarships will be awarded to student members from any country.
Scholarship eligibility is for IFNA Student Members who are enrolled in a college or university nursing degree program (undergraduate or graduate). Eligible IFNA Student Members should submit their application no later than Monday 13th February 2023. The completed applications will be selected at random by the IFN Foundation. Notification will be communicated to all applicants by Wednesday 1st March 2023. Scholarship recipients will be formally recognised during the Welcome Ceremony at IFNC16.
